A Fairfield man is accused of abandoning a pit bull dog in Shelton. Jason W. Bernstein, 25, of Church Hill Street, is charged with allowing a dog to roam, cruelty to animals, second-degree making a false statement, interfering with an officer and second-degree reckless endangerment.
