Derby man allegedly followed Shelton woman home, robbed and assaulted her

A Derby man accused of following an elderly woman to her Shelton home, robbing her, and leaving her lying in the snow in late February was arrested Friday. Police say 55-year-old Michael Dean followed the 73-year-old to her Coram Road home on Feb. 28. The victim told police she pulled into her garage and closed the door after running an errand in Derby that evening, but felt someone tugging on her purse when she got out of her car.
