A former swim coach accused of sending inappropriate text messages to a 13-year-old Shelton girl applied for accelerated rehabilitation on Tuesday, the Connecticut Post reports. According to the paper, under the pretrial program, a defendant does not admit to the crime but is placed on up to two years' probation and the charges are dropped if not other crimes are committed during that period.
